Appreciating the HP LaserJet 1320n printer and HP LaserJet 1320n toner for what it can do is a fairly easy task once one has given it a chance to show off all of its capabilities and functions. Hewlett-Packard has taken the time to improve the older 1320 printer and this monochrome laser jet machine is the result. It's probably best for networked workgroups and small businesses, in the main, so keep that in mind.
When it comes to the speed of printing, the 1320n is able to run with all the competition, delivering 22 pages of print product every minute in "best quality" mode. Print speed can be improved upon slightly by selecting a quality of printing that's slightly lower. In whatever mode, the quality of the print job that emerges will be more than sufficient for most any business application or need.
Hewlett-Packard makes this printer with laser technology in mind, and it puts that technology to good use in taking laser jet cartridges, rather than laser toner cartridges, and then delivering good looking documents and other print jobs. The company has focused its efforts on producing a well working machine that will deliver a great deal of production, and HP has largely succeeded with this model.
As far as the quality of any print job the 1320n is asked to handle, it's safe to say that the job that emerges will be excellent to outstanding. Much of this can be laid at the feet of the printer's ability to deliver resolution in the 1,200 dpi range. That helps to ensure that any print job that is produced by the 1320n will be very sharp and very clear, with no blurring in evidence. It also does this very quickly.
The relative speed of the printer is due to the 16 MB of RAM that the 1320n comes with. It can be increased upwards with optional memory upgrades as well. For any small business or workgroup, it's a fair bet that 16 MB will be more than enough to handle a large number of print jobs and near-simultaneous print tasks without needing an upgrade of memory.
Monthly maintenance cycle for the HP 1320n is a relatively low 10,000 pages per month, though it's a good bet that most any small business or workgroup will not come close to approaching that upper end anytime soon. The 1320n can be connected through several different meanings, including a USB 2.0 and a parallel port as well as a number of different optional conductivity functions.
As with just about any Hewlett-Packard printer, this particular model is designed to work best with Windows-based operating systems, and it is even Vista ready. There's a nice one year warranty which can be supplemented by several more years for a fair price. It comes complete with CD-ROM software (drivers, installation etc.) as well as printer cartridges.
In general, it's easy to appreciate the HP LaserJet 1320n printer for what it can do. That's because Hewlett-Packard has designed a printer that will be easy to connect to a network or a desktop and which won't break the bank, coming in as it does for about $250 for a refurbished model. Expect to pay double that for a new machine. In all, there is much to like and little to dislike about the 1320n.
What the HP LaserJet 1320n toner does is produce flawlessly clear prints no matter the amount needed. HP toner always offer quality and the ability to reduce or eliminate costly reprints. Using a good toner means your end product reflects your professionalism.
