The Samsung SCX 4521 Printer - Suited For The Family
The common denominator in my family is that we rely on machines for our jobs and school work. So it doesn't come as a surprise that we have many technological devices lying around. Our favorite is the printer.
We rely on it to produce printouts of maps and documents. We have been using it for years so wearing it out was inevitable. It was at this time that I came across the Samsung SCX 4521 printer using Samsung SCX 4521 toner.
To be honest, I was going for a different printer brand. I changed my mind at the last minute when I saw the price of the Samsung printer. The very low price was enough reason for me to try it. The printer was designed to cater to your printing, scanning, faxing and copying needs.
Its print resolution of 600 x 600 dpi complements its print speed of 20 ppm. The exterior is a clean professional look and is about 23 lbs in weight. The Samsung printer always provides great printouts. It creates smooth and sharp characters that are proof of good quality. The quality remains even if the font sizes are close to micro. In terms of economy, my new printer beats the old one.
My old printer doesn't work well unless it has a total of four cartridges. This got really expensive as my three kids were not yet trained on conserving. In my Samsung printer, I only have to purchase one cartridge. My favorite feature is the "toner save". It can reduce our toner usage without sacrificing quality.
Sometimes, the family gets into situations where we need a fast copy of a certain document. This often ends in vain. These situations are now avoided because of the printer's copier feature. The process is very easy. In fact my kids are already familiar with it.
The fax function is convenient for my wife and me. We no longer have to drive down to a store with fax services. At the same time, we had also minimized the need to fax documents in the office. The convenience is for us to do our faxing transactions inside our home.
It was surprising to find out that the scan feature was poor. There were just too much contrasting strips in the image. The color accuracy and resolution were also bad. My consolation was that it can produce tolerable scans of simple documents and pictures. I do this mainly to back-up the files.
I have observed that the printer has things that might raise concern to some people. We have experienced frequent paper jams lately. What we do is we just remove the jammed paper and its fixed. The high-pitched sound the machine emits though, is a bit annoying.
The Samsung printer is designed for only black prints. This may be a minus to some people, but they should think about their need for color prints. How often does anybody really need a color printout? The Samsung SCX 4521 printer is convenient as it is handy to have in the family.
