People overeat all the time without even realizing that they are doing it. Working, talking, and doing other things during mealtime causes them to focus on everything but the food in front of them. Also, the portion sizes today don't help. Everything seems to be either super-sized or only comes in large and extra large. A few simple changes can help you start to have more control over what you eat and help you with a healthy weight loss. Get quick weight loss that everyone is seeking.

The only thing you really do have to think about is planning your meals ahead of time. Taking one day a week to create a menu for each day of that week will not only help you buy the right foods, but will prevent those last minute "what to make for dinner" moments that seem to sneak up out of nowhere and cause you to throw something together, usually unhealthy and fattening.

When you start to feel hunger pangs reach for a glass of water before anything else. More often than not, your body is craving water, not food. Your body dehydrates easily, and if you lack water, that sometimes can be mistaken for lack of food.

However, don't starve yourself till you're at the point of eating the next thing that catches your eye. If the water doesn't do the trick then you are hungry and need to eat before you start binging on junk. Always have fruit or vegetables on hand for quick snacks between meals.

Portion size is important when you're trying to get fat burning, but it can be a hassle for many to get out the scales or try to figure out the correct portion size for this and that. The easiest solution is to use smaller plates, and then you are forced to use a smaller portion size that really won't look small at all. Pack the large dinner plates away or push them in the back of the cupboard so you automatically choose the smaller size first.

It is really important to pay attention to what you are eating when you are sitting down to a meal. Chew the food thoroughly and actually let taste it. Taking your time will allow you to feel fuller on less food. Also, get rid of the distractions. Turn the television off, put the book down, and stop working. The more distracted you are while you eat, the more you end up eating because you don't really taste it or aware of how much you're eating.

It is a good idea to form the habit of not cleaning your plate. Stop eating before you're full but feel you've had enough food. It normally takes the brain about twenty minutes to register that you are eating and that the food is on the way, so if after that time you are still hungry, go ahead and eat some more.

These simple and healthy eating tips for fast weight loss can be done without you really realizing that you're eating less, but you will notice the fat loss when you put on your clothes. You don't have to stuff yourself to be full nor starve yourself to lose weight. And, don't deprive yourself of all the "bad" foods. If you want a snack or dessert that isn't exactly healthy, go ahead and have it, but make it small. Bite size or sample size pieces are perfect to satisfy the craving without going overboard.
