Dreams, for the average human being, always remain dreams. They're like little baskets of jewels tucked away somewhere waiting, in vain, to become reality. But the million dollar question is, 'Do dreams come true?'

We all have dreams, right? Even the worst pessimist in the world has a dream! The problem is that we, wet blankets think that our dreams can't come true, but the truth is, they CAN!

Now I know somebody's going to say, "Hey! My dream is to become the President of my country, which can never come true!" Well, you know what? Here is the life history of a man who failed a number of times but kept on striving to achieve his dream. This man has a long list of failure, as he:

* Failed in business at the age of 22.

* Was defeated when he contested elections for the state legislature at the age of 23.

* Failed in business at the age of 25.

* Suffered a nervous breakdown at the age of 27.

* Was defeated for Speaker at the age of 29.

* Was defeated for congressional nomination at the age of 34.

* Was elected to Congress at the age of 37.

* Lost re-nomination for Congress at the age of 39.

* Was defeated for the Senate at the age of 46.

* Was defeated for vice-presidency of the United States at the age of 47.

* And was defeated for the Senate at the age of 49.

This person is none other than Abraham Lincoln, who finally got elected as the President of the United States at the age of 51!  Got some motivation from that? Good!

The basic recipe for making your dreams come true the ingredients are:

* One or more dreams (of course).

* A 10-pound bucketful of determination.

* And an extra large cauldron, full of positive outlook- that's it!

Mix them up together, work really hard and get over your failures. But remember, if even a single ingredient is missing, you won't receive the desired result. If you don't have your 10-pound bucketful of determination, you'll probably never have the mental strength to achieve your dreams, as Edmund Hillary said, "It's not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves." So you need determination in order to conquer yourself and reach your destination.

Secondly, if you don't have your extra-large cauldron, full of positive outlook, you'll get sick of your failures and turn into a full-time pessimist. It was Abraham Lincoln's positivity that encouraged him to keep trying harder despite all those nasty hindrances.

Thirdly, of course you'll need a dream in order to achieve a dream! You don't have to be Einstein to know that.

Well then, my work here is done, I've given you an example, the ingredients and the method. Now, whether you want to grab your jewel basket from its hidey hole or you want to keep pining after it for the rest of your life is up to you. Good luck!
