Geaux Tigers is the cheer for the LSU Tigers for this college football team with a French-Creole influence due to its large Louisiana fan base. The Tigers, also known by locals as the Bayou Bengals, have a rich history in the south, as well as the country for their great football teams and rabid fan base. LSU stadium is dubbed by fans as Death Valley and it is almost impossible for an opposing team to function properly when playing in Baton Rouge.

However, the Tigers did finish the season unranked and only had a 3-5 record in the Southeastern Conference.
The Louisiana State University Tigers are perhaps the most successful college sports team that no one outside of Louisiana knows anything about. They've achieved a good deal of success in multiple sports, including baseball, football, basketball, golf, and track and field, and yet continue to fly under the college sports radar.
With a 5-7 overall record and 2-6 in Big 12 conference play, the Kansas State Wildcats had a mediocre season, at best. After a short 2.5 year stint Coach Ron Prince was let go and so dawned the second coming of Coach Bill Snyder. Snyder coached the Wildcats from 1989-2005 and had an overall record of 136-68-1.
The Kansas State Wildcats have competed in the NCAA's Big 12 Conference since 1996, along with Iowa State University, the University of Colorado, the University of Kansas, the University of Missouri, the University of Nebraska, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas A & M, Texas Tech, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Texas.

Iowa State University is well known for their technology programs and research, producing some of the world's leading theorists, writers, and even astronauts, but what of their sports programs? The Cyclones of Iowa State compete in the Big 12 Conference of the NCAA's 1st Division, a conference generally recognized to be one of the weaker ones in the NCAA, and it's safe to say their sports program doesn't have quite the lustre that their academic pursuits do.
