The intention of this article is to encourage the healing of the traumatized child. Carl Jung said: “ In every adult there lurks a child – an eternal child, something that is always becoming, is never completed and calls for unceasing care, attention and education.
Where there’s emptiness there’s hunger. Passionate hunger fuels a need for connection and completion. We are innately driven to fill emptiness in a self-transcendent way through whatever we can attach to that offers us the promise of fulfillment.
Humanistic psychologist Abraham Maslow asked, “The key question isn’t ‘what fosters creativity?’ but it is why in God’s name isn’t everyone creative? Where was the human potential lost?” The birthright of the real self is creativity. How can we reclaim this?
