Your Dream Car Is Right Around The Corner
Technological advances occur at such
a fast pace that new options and safety features are often introduced
on a seasonal basis. One of the many advances made by designers and
manufacturers in the past few years has been the development of
environmentally friendly engines that are not dependent on fossil fuel.
The engines of many cars being manufactured run on solar or
electrical energy. These hybrid vehicles currently are being made to
travel at the same speed as gas combustion vehicles. They are powered
by battery units that are positioned in the trunk of the vehicle.
Electrical adapters have been designed to allow the batteries to
recharge using a home electrical outlet.
The cars are extremely quiet and provide a person with a smooth
and uninterrupted ride. They are very popular as commuter vehicles
where long distances are not being traveled on a regular basis.
Increasing improvements in the vehicles make them more functional in
mountainous terrain.
When vehicles are being selected to serve the dual function of a
work and family vehicle, they require some special options. The vehicle
must be fuel efficient and easy to navigate in heavy traffic. But it
must also be large enough to accommodate a family and provide comfort
for long trips.
In the past the cost of energy efficient vehicles such as hybrids
made this option cost prohibitive. However, consumer demand has
resulted in the manufacturer of larger vehicles that are fuel efficient
and provide the comfort of a large vehicle.
The newer family vehicles are designed with extra features that
include DVD players built in to the back seat of the car. These players
are made to withstand regular use by young children. They have touch
screens that provide easy manipulation of the DVDs that are easily
inserted into the player. In most cases a DVD holder sits within easy
reach of the seat on which the child sits.
Security features include cars that are made without locks on the
doors. These cars can only be entered when the correct combination is
put into the keypad under the door handle. Newer vehicles have door
locks that can only be activated using a thumbprint. As technological
advancements continue cars will eventually cease to be operated using a
standard car key.
There are many added safety and security features on newer cars.
GPS positioning allows cars to be tracked by satellite. If an
individual is injured in a remote location the GPS signal can direct
rescuers to the location easily. In addition, if the car is stolen, the
tracking system can direct police officers to the location of the
vehicle for quick retrieval.
When looking for a vehicle that can
provide safety and security, talking to a professional at BMW Los
Angeles or another BMW Dealership will be very helpful.
