How to Fix Printer Error 23 : I/O Not Ready
HP and other Printers have a lot of little basic bugs, but if you know how
to deal with some of the more habitual problems you will make the printer your
friendly companion to your tasks and projects.

Problem: " I/O Not Ready " error message
Possible Cause and Solutions:
- ALL PRINTERS The I/O card is not accepting data. May not be
connected - check cabling - or it may be defective. Reseat the card and if
available, swap with a known working card. Watch the termination's on the
network cabling.
Windows XP, click Start and then click Control Panel. Click Printers And Other
Hardware and Printers And Faxes. In the Printers And Faxes window, from the
File menu, click Server Properties, then click the Drivers tab. This shows the
settings in your printer's driver. Compare the settings in this dialog box with
the ideal settings in your printer's manual. If you see a discrepancy in these
settings, the printer may simply need a new driver and delete old one. You can
download printer drivers from the printer manufacturer's Web site.
