You will also need a USB cable, as one is not provided with the printer. This is a great printer for those that want better quality then can be provided by an inkjet but do not have an unlimited budget.

The maximum print speed is 23 ppm and the machine has 8MB of memory. It has a single sheet manual bypass which is great for printing on letterhead and envelopes but if you do a lot of that type of printing you may want to look into purchasing a machine with an automatic feeder. The paper tray holds the standard paper sizes, B6, B5, A6, A5, A4, legal, executive and letter. It can also print on a variety of media including labels, transparencies, envelopes, paper and bond. The paper tray can also be used for custom sized paper as long as it is under 14 inches in length and 8.5 inches in width.

The printer has a sleep and standby mode besides the print mode. When it is not in use it will change mode to help conserve energy. It runs on the standard AC 120 V and the running temperature is between 50 and 90 Fahrenheit. So if you print a lot you may want to have the printer near ventilation. It only produces 51db of noise making it a very quiet printer.
