Upaneshadas proclaim that a true spiritual-seeker can have the self-glimpses [aatm darshan or aatm-sakshaatakaara] only in the budde ruupee guhaa. Budde means the mind, ruupee means like and guhaa means the cave. Therefore, ‘budde rupee guhaa' means ‘a mind in the shape of a cave.'

Clearly, the mind is supposed to be the gross matter. The soul is the subtle finest matter/particle.

The true spiritual-seeker has to go into the cave called ‘one's own mind' through deep meditation and have the experience of the self which looks like bright white radiance. But, this vision is only the television channel-like view of the Supreme Light. For the really real experience, the soul has to leave even the mind and thereby one's gross physical body, too to go into the highest subtle realm of consciousness.

It is clear that the soul/individual consciousness is finer than the mind. The soul does have a structure of its own. This structure is the finest in the whole universe. Like a drop of the ocean, it has a separate distinct identity so long as this drop of ocean does not merge into the ocean itself and become the ocean itself acquiring all the properties of the ocean that it has merged into!
