· 1 cup(about 227 grams) of brown sugar

· 3 beaten eggs

· 1 unbaked 9 inch(about 23 centimeters) pie shell

· ½ cup(about 125 milliliters) of corn syrup in the US, however either rice syrup or glucose syrup is recommend for best taste

· ¼ cup(about 60 milliliters) of melted butter

Directions:

Step 1: The first step in Goshen’s southern pecan pie is to get a large mixing bowl and mix the Sugar, syrup, and butter thoroughly. Then add the beaten eggs and pecans into the mixture. Some people prefer to sauté the pecans in a sugar to coat them before hand. For the first time though it would be recommended to just use regular pecans.

Step 2: The next step is to get the unbaked pie shell and put it into a greased pie pan. To grease the pan you can use butter for a crispier bottom. Then add the mixture from step one into the pan. A more traditional approach to Goshen’s southern pecan pie is to keep the pecans out of the mixture and place them on top of the pie mixture.

Step 3: Then put the pie in the oven for 350 degrees (about 180 Celsius) for 40 minute.  Afterwards pull out of oven and let sit for about an hour. Then you are ready to enjoy your southern pecan pie.
