Goshen's mussel pizzas are a wonderful personal pizza's for
everyone to enjoy. These small personal pizzas are nice to enjoy as appetizers
or al meal. Goshen's mussel pizzas are wonderful for seafood lovers. This is a
wonderful pizza for the seafood lover who is looking for something out of the
ordinary. Goshen's mussel pizzas are a white pizza with no sauce. It is ok to
add tomato sauce if you desire.
Serves 4
Ingredients:

1 pound(450 grams) of live mussels
·
1 batch of pizza dough (Check out Goshen's pizza
dough recipe)
·
1 tablespoon(about 15 milliliters) of olive oil
·
2 small leaks
·
1 mince clove of garlic
·
2 ounces(about 60 grams) of mozzarella
·
2 ounces(about 60 grams) Gruyere cheese
·
½ cup(about 125 milliliters) of dry white wine
·
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Step1: The first step in Goshen's mussel pizzas is to
preheat the oven to 425 degrees (220 Celsius). Place the mussels in a bowl of
cold water to soak and also scrub well. Remove the beards and remove any
mussels that are already open.
Step 2: Place the mussels in a saucepan and pour the white
wine over the mussels. Put on a tight fitting lid and cook on high for 5-10
minutes. Shake the pan during this process. The mussels are done when they are
open.
Step 3: The next step in Goshen's mussel pizzas are to drain
off the cooking liquid and remove the muscles from their shell. Divide the dough
into 4 pieces and roll each one out on a lightly floured surface. Roll out each
piece into 5 inch circles. Space well far apart on two greased baking sheets 2
pizza dough's to a sheet.
Step 4: Form a crust around each of the pizza bases and
brush the pizza bases with the olive oil. The next step in Goshen's mussel
pizzas is to thinly slice the leeks. Grate the cheeses evenly on all 4 pizzas
bases and add the leaks and minced garlic spaced evenly on all 4 pizza bases. Then
bake for 10 minutes.
Step 5: When the pizza's are done arrange the mussels on top
of the pizzas evenly. Season with salt and pepper and bake for another 5-10
minutes or until golden brown. Then you are ready to enjoy Goshen's mussel
pizzas.
