Goshen’s Crispy Cabbage

Goshen’s Crispy Cabbage is a nice way to accompany any meal. It is a way to add a little bit of a crunchy texture to any meal. Goshen’s crispy cabbage is especially good with shrimp meals. It is also a fine way to add a vegetarian aspect to your meal. Goshen’s crispy cabbage will impress your friends and family and add a wonderful zest to any average meal.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

· 1 clove of crushed garlic

· 1 large Savoy cabbage

· 4 juniper berries

· 1 teaspoon(about 4.7 grams) of superfine sugar

· 1 teaspoon(about 4.7 grams) of salt

· ¼ cup(about 59 milliliters) of vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1: The first step in Goshen’s crispy cabbage is to finely crush the juniper berries. Then finely shred the cabbage. Heat a frying pan and add the oil and when it is hot stir fry the garlic for 1 minute. Add the cabbage and stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until crispy.

Step 2: Remove the crispy cabbage and pat dry with a paper towels.  Reheat the frying pan and return the cabbage to it. Add the sugar, salt, and crushed juniper berries and toss the cabbage back into the frying pan. Then mix all well until thoroughly coated and mixed with flavorings.  Than serve immediately or cold and enjoy Goshen’s crispy cabbage.
