Amla Oil
Keep fresh amla pieces to dry in the sun and then boil the dry pieces in coconut oil. Cool and strain. Apply this regularly.
Amla and Lime Juice
Take equal quantities of amla juice and lime juice. Use this as a shampoo.
Lettuce and Spinach Juice
Make a juice of lettuce and spinach and consume at least half a litre each day.
Mustard Oil and Henna
Boil four tablespoons of henna leaves in one cup of mustard oil till the leaves are burnt in the oil. Strain using a cloth and apply to patches where hair is scarce.
Coconut Milk
Grind coconut and squeeze the milk either using a strainer or a muslin cloth. Massage into the roots of the hair.
Lime Seeds and Black Pepper
Grind lime seeds and a few black pepper corns to a fine paste and apply to the scalp twice a day for a few weeks.
Onion
Rub onion on balding patches of the scalp, till it turns red and then apply honey. Do this twice a day.
Fenugreek Seeds
Grind fenugreek seeds to a fine paste using water. Apply on scalp and leave for 40 minutes before washing off. Continue this routine for a month.
Honey and Egg Yolk
Make a mixture of honey and egg yolk. Massage this mixture onto the scalp and hair. Wash after half an hour.
Amaranth
Make a juice of amaranth leaves and apply to the hair. This not only stops hair fall but also keeps the hair soft.
Coconut Oil and Lime Juice
Take coconut oil and lime juice in equal quantities and apply this to the scalp daily.
Coriander Leaves
Regularly apply juice of coriander leaves to the scalp.
Raw Mango
Make a pulp of raw mangoes and put this in coconut oil. Leave this for one year. Then massage this regularly.
Castor and Almond Oils
Take equal amounts of castor oil and almond oil. Warm it and apply on the scalp at least once a week. This also makes hair stronger.
Apart from undertaking these remedies you can also fight hair fall by making a few diet and lifestyle changes. Avoid foods that are oily and rich in carbohydrates. Reduce intake of coffee and alcohol. Consume food that is rich in protein and iron.
Also drink lots of water. A few changes that you can incorporate in your lifestyle include avoiding use of shampoo on a daily basis, oiling hair regularly, not combing hair while it is wet and keeping stress (a major cause of hair fall) at bay.
