Of all the fast weight loss methods, the fastest is to stop eating the foods that have been making you fat. Well, duh! you say. Nevertheless, it's true. Just stop eating meat, eggs, and milk products. Stop drinking sodas and sugary energy drinks.

Stop eating fast foods and anything fried in oil. Stop eating sweets -- anything containing refined flour and sugar. These foods are loaded with calories -- even in small amounts -- that make it hard to lose weight. They are keeping you from being healthy and slim, so just get rid of them.

Just switching to a strict vegetarian diet of whole, natural foods will cut ten percent off your current weight, on average. It will also give you fantastic health benefits, such as a lower chance of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer's Disease -- IF you stick with it.

Most of the fast weight loss methods you read about on the Web are designed to sugar-coat the truth so you will buy their products or program. I will give you the scientific truth, with references, that most doctors don't even know(my information is published in medical journals, but most doctors don't seem to read it; they're too busy talking to drug sales reps). When you take away all the junk foods that are making you fat, you are left with plenty of delicious ingredients you can use to whip up quick dishes that many of the Beautiful People eat to keep themselves looking and feeling their best. (You would be surprised how many of the top athletes, actors/actresses, and other celebrities are vegetarians!)

One of the best fast weight loss methods is to add some moderate daily exercise to a strict vegetarian diet. Walk at a brisk pace for 45 minutes or more every day. Alternate this with doing some weight-bearing exercises two or three times a week -- building muscle that burns more fat. Take it easy at first so you don't hurt yourself if you're not used to exercise. Talk to your doctor before beginning any program of exercise, though.

Keep in mind that simply switching to a vegetarian diet will help you drop the pounds by itself. Adding a moderate exercise program to smart changes in your diet will help you drop the pounds quicker. While a forty-five minute walk is ideal, it doesn't have to be done all at one time -- you can break it into 10 minute segements and fit it in when you can. Climb the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Leave your car parked ten minutes from work and walk from there. Do your errands around town on foot. Take a quick walk after work to de-stress after a hard day. You'll sleep better that night.

Getting slim and staying that way for life takes work. You deserve to be the best you can be, but all that separates the "wannabes" and the Beautiful People is doing the work and eating healthy foods. Do the work and you will get the benefits.

You will learn to like this new way of eating in about a month. If you want to eat out, Thai cuisine is one of the many healthy ways of preparing foods, using herbs and spices for flavoring. Just remember to avoid meat, eggs, and shrimp, which are high in cholesterol and fat. Try a tofu dish. Occasionally, you can have a small portion of fish if it is baked, steamed or poached.

Another of my favorite fast weight loss methods, which is essential to success, is to see clearly that what used to be your favorite foods are keeping you from achieving your goal of a healthy weight. If you continue to eat like you have been, it will lead to more weight gain and eventually one or more health issues that are very unpleaant and expensive to deal with. The people in the big corporations that make these fast foods, snacks, and drinks to tempt you don't care if eating their food kills you. They just want as much of your money as they can get.

The attitude that has helped me stay thin and fit for my sixty years is one of determination not to let unhealthy food makers get the best of me. Whatever the foods are that tempt you are standing in the way of achieving your goals of healthy and fast weight loss. You need to make up your mind that you are going to win this fight against the corporations over your health and staying young-looking. They don't care about you. You must get on your own side and stick to these healthy fast weight loss methods, if you want them to work.

One final tip: Do you have an old picture of you, when you were at a healthier weight? Keep that where you will see it often -- on the fridge, perhaps. Didn't you look better then? Make it your goal to quit eating the food that caused you to gain the weight you hate. Imagine burning off the fat deposits on your face and body that are keeping you from looking like you did in that picture. Then, day by day, do the exercise and eat the healthy vegetarian diet to the best of your ability.

Most of us don't have movie-star looks, but we can all be our best and learn to be happy with that. Now, get out there and get busy. Keep your mind on your goal, not on all the reasons you've made up why you think you can't do it. Those who love you and depend on you are pulling for you.
