Most Wanted Suspect Arrested For Rwanda Genocide

Uganda police arrested one of the most wanted from the Rwanda Genocide. To understand what transpired in Rwanda you have to know the history that led to and what is referred to as the 100 Day Killing Spree. It was the most brutal genocides in modern history.

Rwanda was a country that had two tribes the Tutsis and the Hutus and changed hands many times Germany in 1885 to the Belgians in 1916 ethnic cards were introduced in 1926 but in 1933 ethnic cards must state ethnic identity from birth, When the publication of Hutu Manifesto was formed and denounced all Tutsis and the PARMEHUTU ( Party For The Emancipation Of The Hutu's) is formed.

When the king of Rwanda dies in 1959  the Hutus rise against the Tutsis thousands are killed and many more escape to neighboring countries this was only the beginning, Rwanda is granted independence from Belgium in 1962 and the PARMEHUTU Hutu Nationalist Party Headed by George Kayibanda comes to power, In the years leading up to the 100 day killing spree thousands of Tutsis are killed and pushed out of there jobs and were allowed 9% of the jobs and was referred to as the ethnic quota and was headed by Major Juvenal Habyarimana.

The country was in turmoil and would be fought over from neighboring countries by exiled Tutsis known as the RFP(Rwanda Patriotic Front) and would face a very well trained force known as FAR(Rwanda Armed Forces) equipped and trained by France and Zaire, FAR formed and begun training militia known as "Interahamwe" Meaning those who stand together,Local persecution and murders are carried out.

On april 7 1994 after the shooting down of President Habyarimana plane the massacre started Tutsis and moderate Hutus were rounded up men women children were mutilated in the end almost one million were killed mutilated or maimed for life.

Former Rwanda Deputy Intelligence Chief ldelphonse Nizeyimana is one of the four top accused of a list of 13 fugitives,Nizeyimana was a captain in FAR(Rwanda Armed Forces) And through a chain of command is responsible for sending soldiers to execute Rosalie Gicanda a former Queen of Rwanda.
