John Edwards was seen as a man who was fighting for the middle class and those who live under poverty in America. He was the former Vice Presidential Candidate and a former Senator. He was very popular in North Carolina and known as a great family man who lost a child early on. That has changed. When you think of John Edwards the affair with Rielle Hunter is on your mind. This affair was purely unethical.

There are two people to blame in the affair: John Edwards and Rielle Hunter. John Edwards knew the past realities of former candidates who have been through such circumstances. He knew that these affairs kill a political career of those who commit adultery. He grew up in a family of values, where honesty and integrity matters. He married the love of his life, had a great political career, and achieved a lot of success in a young life. John Edwards has a wonderful family who is loving, kind, and strong. John Edwards must have known the consequences. He chose to pursue Rielle Hunter in a purely lust venture. He was not forced to do anything, he choose to cheat on his wife. Elizabeth Edwards was suffering from cancer at the time.

At a time when Elizabeth Edwards needed John Edwards the most, he was having an affair with another woman. But this woman too is to blame. Rielle Hunter deserves equal blame in her affair as she had the power and the ethics to say NO. She used someone else's pain for her own pleasure. She knew the potential consequences of her actions. She has been in the industry and she knows that the actions she did puts other people's lives in danger. She may be a single mother looking for affection, but she is in the wrong bar. Some would say she is a self-opportunist, going for men who are around the spotlight. But that is her field of work, the entertainment industry where spotlight is considered an asset.

Rielle Hunter used her power to have an affair, go far with a politician, and get paid for it through indirect means. Some would call that type of person, "a prostitute." Yet, even if she does not feel that way, she can be defined as such. When you add the fact that her baby's father could be a former Edwards Campaign staffer, this is more saddening. John Edwards had all his fame and put it on the line with the unethical affair. This affair was not in 1992 or in 2000, this affair was in 2006. 2006 is two years after his Vice Presidential nomination and one year before his bid for the presidency. If he wanted to keep this under wraps, he went for the wrong girl, the girl from the entertainment spotlight industry.

There are two counts of guilt and three strikes. Strike one was having an affair, strike two was the sex, and strike three was the compensation resulting from it. Paying over $100,000 to Rielle Hunter for her services is too much when you can get a better service elsewhere without paying the ethical price and the risk of destroying your family. One must appreciate the compassion of Elizabeth Edwards, despite her sad past.

The big disappointment is in John Edwards, the man who should know better. We must understand our limits. There is ethics and values that politicians must be accountable to. There is no one who can give you more love than your lifelong companion who raises the children you and they create. Anything else is just purely lust. We surely hope that our other politicians learn from these politician's mistakes rather than making your own. We must remember our ethics and our ethical values. It is one thing to tap shoes to get love, but another thing to go all the way. In the end we give our warm heart and love to the Edwards family.
