Iraq elections first partial results

Independent High Electoral Commission announced first and partial results of Iraq Parliamentary elections in some provinces of the country on Thursday night. The rest of results should be published once issued. After counting 30% of votes, State of Law Coalition rallied 69 000 votes in Babel and around 56 000 votes in Najaf City, first results showed. Iraqi National Coalition came second in Babel and Najaf while Al Iraqiya Coalition led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi came third, figures reported. Allawi’s list rallied in Diyala and Salahuddin more than 77 000 votes in comparison with Al Maliki’s coalition which gathered around 17 000 votes, according to first results. In Erbil, Kurdistan Alliance led by President Jalal Talabani and Kurdistan leader Massoud Barazani is taking pole position, first results estimated.
