Jordanian King slams Israeli unilateral measures

From Amman, Jordanian King Abdullah II said while receiving US Vice President Joe Biden that the decision of the Israeli government to build new settlement units undermines peace opportunities and leads to more violence in the region. In a statement issued by the king bureau Abdullah II said that it is necessary to immediately halt the Israeli unilateral measures which undermines peace opportunities and the measures that aim at changing the identity of Jerusalem and the sacred places. On the other hand, Jordanian King valued the engagement of US President Barack Obama in achieving peace in the region stressing that reaching a progress in this regard requires from the USA to play a leading role.
