"If anyone advocates a different doctrine, and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain." (1 Timothy 6:3-5).

God provides complete and clear evidence of his power, deity and creative powers. When you look at the beauty of a flower, you may ask the question; how did this get here. Or when you experience the love of a pet, it might occur to you that your pet did not simply evolve from some pool of slime, that he/she is part of God's creation. Or when it rains; that the waters coming down out of heaven in the midst of a storm with lighting flashes all around may have originated in the evaporation of the waters from the deep.
In the book of Job, God Himself asked these questions and others (Job 38: 12, 16,34):

"Have you ever in your life commanded the morning, And caused the dawn to know its place;"

Have you ever entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?

Can you lift up your voices to the clouds, So that an abundance of water may cover you?

Proverbs 3 - Teaches us today?

Proverbs 3:20 "(20) By His knowledge the deeps were broken up, And the skies drip with dew."

Psalm 72:12-15 (Theme: Blessings On God's King). "(12) For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, The afflicted also, and him who has no helper. (13) He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the lives of the needy he will save. (14) He will rescue their life from oppression and violence; And their blood will be precious in his sight; (15) So may he live; and may the gold of Sheba be given to him; And let them pray for them continually; Let them bless him all day long."

Today's question. From where do you get understanding?

"From Thy precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way." (Psalm 119:104).

The world would have us believe that answers to questions of nature and morality are relative, subject only to the hearers interpretation. Others would have us believe that everything came from nothing and that all life is by accident. Still others would have us believe that God exist, but He is a disinterested party in the life of the universe He created.

If you want answers to these and other questions then first seek Him. He will provide answers that are just for you, in such a way that only you know that God is. "Thy word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path. Therefore I esteem right all Thy precepts concerning everything, I hate every false way. The unfolding of Thy words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple." (Psalm 119:105, 128, 130).

God is a personal God. He know each of us by name and has all of the names of His children written in the Book Of Life.

Dear God, when I look at nature I see you. When I call out, I hear you. When I experience despair, I feel you and when I turn around I know you are there. Thank you Jesus for your love. Amen.
