I have come to notice some common characteristics shared by these successful investors and why their actions and attitudes make them a success.

Listed below are three characteristics that form the foundation of a successful real-estate investor, which I've come to notice over the years.

Before I get into to listing these characteristics, I want to define what is considered "successful" when it comes to real-estate investing. A successful investor is not about the person with the most properties, the biggest profits, and the highest net worth.

Instead, the successful investor knows what he or she wants, both personally and financially, and knows how to use real-estate investing to get it. Regardless of PhD's, race, gender, or background, there are just three common characteristics of investors that greatly increase chances of success.

1. The first and most important characteristic of a successful investor is having a plan and knowing how to work it. These investors wake up every morning with a goal and a game plan. They know what needs to be done and how to get it done. As a result, their chances of success is greatly increased.

2. The next important characteristic of a successful investor is the keen ability to network. Real-estate investing is probably one of the only professions that does not require formal education or training. Therefore, the investor that builds a strong and far-reaching network of colleagues and partners is the most successful.

3. Another important characteristic of a successful investor is the ability to stay educated. When it comes to real-estate and investing, the rules and regulations are always changing. Every market is different and every locality has their own set of standards. As a result, the successful investor stays on top of it all by staying educated because it affects their business and their subsequent profit possibilities.

TRCB.com
