Abbas asked once again to stop all the colonial projects. During a press conference with his Brazilian counterpart who visited Ramallah, Abbas said that Israel should follow a clear road map in order to resume peace talks as soon as possible. In addition, the European Union interfered to solve the issue as Abbas sent a letter on Wednesday to EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton in which he called the EU to exert pressure on Israel in order to halt settlement building especially in Jerusalem.
