The Canon ImageClass D320 Printer is an excellent printer as it offers both high quality black and white printing as well as a fast printing speed at a maximum of 15 pages per minute. This is a multi-functioning machine as it also includes a digital copier. Superior monochromatic printing is produced using 1200 x 600 dpi resolution. The copying has the option to enlarge images up to 200% or reduce them down. The largest size paper this machine uses is legal size.

The maximum number of paper sheets that can feed in the input tray is 250 sheets. Unlike most other laser printer this machine uses a single cartridge system. The cartridge provided with the machine is also a regular cartridge, not starter size. Most laser printers need two cartridges that tend to run out at different times. The convenience of the single cartridge system is excellent and makes order supplies easy.

All parts and services are covered under a one-year warranty. This a great printer option if you are looking to upgrade your current printer and want the convenience of two in one, as you will have more space. Other items found in the box are a cassette/multi-purpose tray, documentation kit, software CD-ROM, cartridge and power cord.

The Canon ImageClass D320 Printer has other printing and copying options besides reduction and enlargement. It is possible to electronically collate printouts and you can also bypass the regular input tray by using the multi-stack bypass feeder. This printer has some networking capabilities and uses a USB connection. A USB cord does not come with the box.

Many hiccups that occur with the printer/copier occur in all printers. When printing large documents sometime paper jams to occur. Installing the printer can be trickier if your operating system is later then Windows 98. For later Windows systems the software does not automatically find the drivers. You will have to go in and manually find the correct NTF file. Instructions are providing in the documentation kit.

If the machine is not far enough from the wall and has proper ventilation then the high temperatures produced can cause the paper to curl. This is very rare but has been found to happen. To avoid paper jamming when producing two sided copies you will have to manually feed the paper in, but this is standard for most two sided printers.

Due to the single cartridge the toner for this printer is less expensive then most other toner for laser printers. The laser printer works by projecting a laser image of the document onto a drum that attracts toner. The toner melts and transfers the image to the paper. It should be noted that this printer has issues printing highly detailed or complicated graphics.
