The Villas opened in July 2002 with 282 units joined with the Yacht Club to support a 73,000-square-foot Convention Center. In terms of location, you really couldn't ask for any more convenient accommodations to the Boardwalk, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios.

Staying here meant avoiding traffic snarls with a five-minute walk to the Boardwalk, Epcot, and a short boat ride to Hollywood Studios. Disney bus transportation is available for guests going to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney and the water parks.

In this area the food choices were plentiful. If your children (big or small) are into Disney characters, the character breakfast at the Cape May Cafe in the lobby of the Beach Club is definitely the way to go. There's something to please each guest, and each of the four Disney characters will make a personal visit to your table.

The Disney characters visit each table to spend a few quality minutes, sign autographs, interact with the kids and take pictures with the whole family. Don't forget Beaches & Cream, the soda shop between the Cape May and the Yacht Club steakhouse. Try the "kitchen sink" ... eight scoops of ice cream, every sundae topping they have in the joint and a whole can of whip cream served in a kitchen sink ... Can your party eat it all????

Maid service is excellent and the quality of items used in the Villas is a little better than at other resorts at Disney. The maid leaves plenty of thick towels; the shampoos, conditioners and soaps are of high quality; and housekeeping was prompt to respond to our request. A nice plus is the personal concierge service in the lobby of the Beach Club Villas building where you can avoid the huge lineups at the registration desk by checking out at the concierge desk.

The highlight of our stay at the Beach Club Villas was the fantastic pool, which provided many hours of entertainment to our entire family, especially the kids.
