You also might want to drink a glass of water before any meal so that you feel fuller and will eat less.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It is important to stay away from drinks that add sugar to them. This especially means sodas. If you absolutely love soda and do not want to give it up then you will need to switch over to diet soda.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Make sure that your diet includes a lot of foods that contain a lot of water. These foods would be things like watermelon, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. These are all a good source of vitamins and provide plenty of hydration for your body.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Unless you know for sure that a fruit juice has no sugar added, you really should stay away from fruit juices and eat fresh fruits instead. Fruits have their own natural sugars in them, and they increase the sugar levels when they turn them into juice. Besides, by eating fruit you are adding more fiber to your body.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Speaking of fiber, you should increase your fiber intake when you are trying to loose weight because your body also needs a lot of fiber; this is why both fresh fruits and vegetables are always recommended on a diet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;When you are on a diet, and even if you are not, it is important to know that you should eat intelligently. Our intelligence is what keeps us separate from the rest of the animal kingdom. Animals follow their instincts when it comes to most everything, even eating, but we as human beings need to use our intelligence when eating.
