The Okidata C9800 printer produces clear,color rich documents in a business model printer. Using EFI Fierytechnology, it manages print workflow and jobs for optimalfunctionality. A setting called Auto Media Detect adjusts printingaccording to specified media. Prints are accurate and sharp with theOkidata C9800 toner and can be printed in different weights and sizes.

This Okidata delivers exceptionally detailed color printing at 36 ppmcolor and 40 ppm monotone, all at high speeds. Print sizes range fromA3 12” x 18” to banner at 12.9" wide. The Single Pass Color systemensures less paper jams and faster print speeds, and media printing of100 pounds. In order to meet various and individual printing needs theOkidata supports various weights and paper sizes.

Resolution is 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, precise and detailed. ProQ4800technology provides a detailed and colorful print. In order to printPDF files without using reader software, Direct PDF printing isprovided. Printer specs start with a 1 GHz processor, a 20 GB hard diskstandard drive, and one GB of ram. The C9800 can produce 150,000 pagesa month.

Color management productivity software is provided in the form of EFIpro tools to produce sharp color and use of different file formats andapplications. Storage of forms, letterheads, fonts and logos isavailable through storage device manager. The printer has a 2,880 sheetmaximum capacity and uses a second tray, multi purpose and feeder.

An optional finisher punches, staples, and stacks up to a thousandsheets. An optional 530 sheet secondary paper tray and high capacityfeeder is also available. For displaying network printers and jobtracking, the EFI Command WorkStation 4 manages workflow. The SignageMedia Collection can print SynFlex paper and premium card stocks forvarious print jobs.

The Okidata C9800 printer is compatible with different operatingsystems from Windows XP Professional, Citrix, Windows 98, and WindowsXP Home. Being equipped with Ethernet card and an internal web serverfor printer management, users can mail job submission using Mailsoftware. Directly sending documents from the printer makes jobefficiency easier and more easily tracked.

The various typefaces included are PCL fonts, bitmap, ten TruTypefonts, and 136 fonts by Adobe. Premium card stock provided comes in 90and 110 lb., with proofing sheets, envelopes, and color transparencyfilm available. Cyan, black, magenta and yellow toners are used, andthe Okidata can also track color printing costs.

Less time is spent waiting with color prints available in 10.5 seconds,mono in nine seconds, and an LCD panel that uses printer statusmonitoring and menus to make things more user friendly. Anadministrator can access data and have it distributed for totalfunctionality. The LCD is detailed and clear for more ease of use whendoing multiple print jobs and paper sizing.
