Martin told Journalists that his release was a "great victory for the freedom of the media." A press conference to mark the release was held at the house of senior Hamas leader Mahmud al-Zahar who said that Martin would not be allowed to return to Gaza adding that his release came as an answer to the efforts exerted by the British consulate and the EU. Martin was arrested in February 2010 while testifying in the trial of a Palestinian whom he had interviewed for a documentary."</p>

TRCB.com
