<rss version="2.0"><channel><title>TRCB.com RSS Feed</title><description>HP Printers and others have a lot of little basic bugs, but if you know how to deal with some of the more habitual problems you will make the printer your friendly companion to your tasks and projects.</description><link>http://www.trcb.com/</link><language>en-Us</language><ttl>60</ttl><lastBuildDate>Sat, 26 May 2012 04:04:11 EST</lastBuildDate><copyright>Copyright 2012 Thomas Karanja, TRCB.com All Right Reserved</copyright><item><title>How to Fix Printer Error 89</title><link>http://www.trcb.com/computers-and-technology/computer-repair/how-to-fix-printer-error-89-18045.htm</link><description>&lt;p&gt;HP Printers and others have a lot of little basic bugs, but if you know howto deal with some of the more habitual problems you will make the printer yourfriendly companion to your tasks and projects.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Possible Causes and &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Solutions:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;All Printers (except 5L/6L)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;The PostScript ROM's have bent or broken pins inspect thepins and reseat if necessary&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;Check to see that the ROM SIMM's are in the proper locationand oriented properly&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;This can also be a temporary error, try power cycling theprinter&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;The PostScript ROM's/SIMM are defective&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a name="ERROR89X"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;8X.YYYY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;EIO ERROR The EIO accessory card has encountered a criticalerror.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;X represents the error location and can equal one of thefollowing:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;1 = Slot number 1&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;2 = Slot number 2&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;3 = Slot number 3&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;6 = Card in slot number 1&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;7 = Card in slot number 2&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;8 = Card in slot number 3&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;span&gt;YYYY represents the error code.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;1. Turn the printer power off, and then turn the printerpower on.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;2. Turn the printer power off, reseat the EIO accessory inslot [X], and then turn the&amp;nbsp; printer power on.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;3. Turn the printer power off, remove the EIO accessory fromslot [X], install it in &lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;a different EIOslot, and then turn the printer power on.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;4.
