Ramadan is special on Alsumaria this year with a bouquet of programs exclusively in Iraq. Alsumaria productions top the chart this year starting with Madi Ya Madi, season 4, a social comedy that tackles sundry social issues starring Majed Yassin and Inaam Al Rubaie. Jraish wa Mraish, season 3, is not to be missed as a rural comic series spelling out hilarious and exciting situations. Alsumarias leading revelation for the holy month of Ramadan this year is Al Hob Wal Salam series that joins a number of actors from Iraq and Syria. Al Hob Wal Salam scenario is written by Hamed Al Maliki. Syrian drama has marked a presence as well on Alsumaria during Ramadan with Qoloub Saghira, a series that tackles for the first time the occurrence of street children and the suffering of orphans in care institutions. Egyptian series are a mainstay on Alsumaria during Ramadan including social and romance drama Ashan Malish Gherak starring Ilham Shahine and directed by Radwan Shahine. Layali is another Egyptian series relating the trilogy of women, money and power. For the first time in her acting career, artist Zeina takes up the main role in the series. Karima Karima adds up comedy and laughter to Egyptian series starring Majida Zaki. Ashraf Abdul Ghafour makes two separate appearances during Ramadan this year, with Rajel Wa Sit Sitat, season 5, a continuity of the successful four past seasons of fun and chilling. Abdul Ghafor stars as well in Abu Dehka Gnan relating the life of the most celebrated Arab comedian in the XXth century Ismail Yassin. For further entertainment, Al Batal, a competition show between a celebrity and the audience is brought on Alsumaria TV. More and more, Alsumaria presents Majina Ya Majina a live game of guessing whats in the box to win valuable prizes.
