Should We be a Cannibal to Control Population?

It is getting hard to control population in this new era as rapid population for many times blame as the trouble maker for many problems in this world. We have heard that air and water pollution caused by the unwise population. Nowadays, the pollution problems reach higher level is global warming and climate change issues that are frightened us for main factors of many natural disaster that are happening in this all side the world.

Those explanations above are from environmental side. Population also becomes problems in social side such an increasing number of child labor. Economics has forced many families to send their children to factories not to school. Low wages that is giving for the children who are uneducated and unskilled labors are hopefully can meet the materialistic world challenge.

Many ways, policies and regulations have been accomplished to control the population. Indonesia has family planning program that government has tried to persuade the citizens to have two children only. Other program has made to increase citizen’s education in order to follow up birth control policies. Many researches show that educate people prefer to have small family. They who have degrees use it for their carrier. They spend more times outside home than for family. Finally, small family is the best choice for their life.

But, it has created new problems. Less care to children make the children grow uncontrollable. We have seen many teenagers’ criminalities. Drugs as style and free sex in order to fulfill their love needed that never gave at home. Finally, they will not go to school and become uneducated and unskilled people then we successfully reached small but low quality of population.

I was wondering to let the population grows as fast as it wants and maybe we will get new responsibility leaders for every new born baby and will solve our population problems someday. But, if it is not work, should we be a cannibal? At least this scheme works in the sea when big fish eat small fish then the fish population is under control. It just my imagination, what I wish to say here is when the population is uncontrollable then we must take responsibility for this phenomenon, for our future.
