It was originally named the "Ford" dressby American Vogue because it mimicked Henry Ford's Model T ... it wasan instant craze, widely available and, only available in black.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Duringthe twenties, black was synonymous with mourning. As the new Jazz agetook center stage, Chanel's black dress with its seductive sleeknesstook on a different role for women ... that of liberation andindependence.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To this very day women have an unexplainableadoration for the simple design which magically flatters body types ofevery variation. It does not matter if you pay thirty dollars or, threehundred for it because the little black dress has a way of making youlook and feel like a million dollar baby. All you have to do is add asimple pair of faux or, real pearls, custom jewelry and let us notforget, the perfect black pump or, stiletto heels ... whichever youprefer.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The little black dress is simplicity and elegance allrolled into one. It survived the restrictions of war in the 40's and50's, the madness of the disco era, punk movement of the early 90's andexperienced a rebirth with tremendous popularity when four very "fav"stylish ladies introduced it this millennium during the populartelevision series Sex and the City.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Body shape does not matter.How much you can afford does not matter. Fashion sense does not matter.And why, you ask?
