There are numerous vibrant cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, and Granada, and its countryside is equally enticing with mountain ranges like the Sierra Nevada and the Picos de Europa. If you're interested in traveling in Spain, then don't miss out on these unforgettable experiences.

Madrid is located near the center of Spain and is its capital. Madrid is home to many wonderful museums, including Museo del Prado. Museo del Prado is a must see museum in Madrid as it contains an impressive art collection, including works by Diego Velazquez, Titian, and Albrecht Durer.

Barcelona has plenty to offer in terms of architecture, night clubs, and beaches. Barcelona is a city filled with all kinds of interesting things to do, but for some it is best known simply as a great party city. If you want to go dancing check out La Bote for some soul and rock or Razzmatazz for a huge multi-genre extravaganza.

La Terrazza is the club destination of choice for anyone who visits Barcelona in the summer. There you can dance on the clubs expansive terrace while you watch the stars overhead. After a night out, many people recuperate by relaxing on the beach. Barceloneta and Sant Sebastia are great beaches to go to as they are popular with both locals and tourists.

In the South of Spain, you'll find the city of Granada. Located less than an hour from the beach in the South and surrounded by the Sierra Nevada mountains in the north, Granada is one of those cities that you can use as a starting point to go swimming and skiing in one day. It can provide an excellent base for exploring some of Spain's most beautiful natural treasures, but the city life of Granada is so captivating, you may never want to leave it.

Granada is a city with a great deal of Moorish influence. These North African Muslims ruled southern Spain from the 7th to the 15th century until the Reconquista, greatly influencing Spanish culture and history. Their cultural contributions are especially visible in Granada, where you can visit the Alhambra palace and fortress complex or bathe in the Hammam, a stunning reconstruction of a Moorish bathhouse.

Picos de Europa National Park is a beautiful protected area in the Picos de Europa mountain range. The expansive range is home to such awe-inspiring animals as the Iberian lynx, Cantabrian brown bear, and the Iberian wolf. The park contains the gorgeous Lakes of Covadonga, and the surrounding countryside is dotted with small towns.

TRCB.com
