When Monkeys 10 am.

First off, I hate doing things in the norm...simply because I have had to all my life. Do it this way do it that way, recreate the wheel...NNGAAH! I couldn't stand it!

So, I got into doing things a bit differently and got in trouble...A LOT! Loved it!

I have been in marketing and promotions for at least 12 years now, and have noticed that along the way there are those that know, those that think they know, and those that have no clue...(guess who I constantly ran into) So I figured, "Mike you gotta help some of these poor slobs that go get a business license and go out trying to live the american dream of....1954.

Times have definitely changed. With the coming of Web 2.0 and now even Web 3.0, there's a lot more to learn even for me! I spend an ishload of time reading and still trying to figure out what half of these younguns are sayin. Truth be told though, there are so many ways to reach an audience or a target amrket nowadays, that you are inundated with choices that may or may not suit your needs.

My aim when I started looking deeper into things that are out there was to try to "normalize" all of the technical hype, and turn it into something that can be easily managed. Simply put, "You ain't gotta be no smarty pants to make a business work, you just gota know how to do it right the first time.' Especially now.

So, as I write articles for Red Carpet, and my blog, I am hopeful that I can share the layman's terms of what marketing is and needs to be so everyone can understand it, even the consumer.

Kinda takes away from the "hype" and brings in the "ripe"ness of what marketing should be.
