People making a purchase love the savings that comes from a coupon. Ziff-Davis recently did an editorial on the top 10 coupon sites. In fact their top 10 picks for coupon sites included the folks I mentioned here Lower your Grocery Bill by using Grocery Coupons in mid-July 2008.

There is another site (not related to coupons) I have always liked. It is called BugMeNot. They give you disposable email addresses. Well the same folks also do RetailMeNot. This is a database of coupons that are available for shopping.

Now comes the good part. It turns out the the web developers for RetailMeNot have created an extension for the web browser, Firefox.

Quoting the use and ability of the extention we find:

Coupon codes allow for discounts and freebies at many online stores.

This add-on will automatically notify you when coupon codes are available for the current website being viewed.

The add-on works by updating an internal database once per week from the collaborative coupon sharing website- retailmenot.com

Load a page from a website such as amazon.com and a notification bar will appear informing you of available coupons.

No data is sent back to the retailmenot.com Coupon codes allow for discounts and freebies at many online stores.

I do a fair amount of my shopping online. I'm thrilled that now I won't have to wonder if there is a coupon out there for what I'm looking for.
