The game of gymnastics is not new for the Romanians because the Romanians have produced several famous gymnasts in the history of Gymnastics .These gymnasts have earned fame for their country by performing at different levels of gymnastics competitions.Their outstanding performance lead the people feel proud of them. One of these was Nadia Comenci .She was one of the famous female Romanian gymnasts .She became famous by scoring ten out of ten in Olympics Competition 1976 and won a gold medal for her homeland.E.Szabo was another one who also won medal in Pommel horse vault and floor exercise in Olympic competition 1984.
The other famous Romanian female gymnasts who won medal for their homeland in different Olympic competitions were Oana Ban, Alexandra Eremia, Catalina Ponor, Monica Rosu, Nicoleta Daniela Sofronie etc.
You always have to work hard to do such gymnastic acts. In short, all types of gymnastics are full of entertainment and fun but quite demanding in the sense that a lot of hard working is needed.
At the Summer Olympics 2004 ,which were held in Athens,Greece, three categories of gymnastics were contested: artistic gymnastics , rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline . The artistic gymnastics and trampoline competitions were held at the Olympic Indoor Hall and the rhythmic gymnastics events were held at the Galatsi Olympic Hall.Here the male gymnasts of Romania performed with flying colors and won medals for their country.These were Marian Dragulescu lie Daniel Popescu,Dan Nicolae Potra,RazvanDorin Selariu,Ioan Silviu Suciu,Marius Daniel Urzica

Apart from Romanians, Russians have also contributed to this game of gymnastics. The Russian gymnasts took part in these sports and won laurels as well as fame for their fatherland .They exhibited performance with natural instinct for gymnastics having a style of their own, it seemed they could hardly go wrong whatever they attempt.

The other famous Russian female gymnasts who won medal for their homeland in different Olympic competitions were Alina Kabaeva, Anna Bessonova, and Liudmila Ezhova Svetlana Khorkina,Maria Krioutchkova,Anna Pavlova,Elena Zamolodchikova,Natalia Ziganchina Alina Kabayeva,Aleksei Bondarenko ,Yevgeniya Kuznetsova ,Yelena Shush nova ,Dina Kochetkova ,Yelena Prod nova ,Nikolai Kryukov,Grigoriy Misyutin ,
Aleksei Nemov etc. These Russian gymnasts won laurels by performing at different competitions of Gymnastics. In Men events, Alexander Moskalenko won silver medal in Trampoline Gymnastics in the same Olympics Competition. In this way Russian was able to secure seven medals in Gymnastics .Out of these seven medals , two were gold medals, three were silver and two were bronze medals in this Olympics competition. This was a very memorizing performance by these Russian Gymnasts.
