One of the things that makes this area very unique is the fact that the historical and religious buildings and areas are in the midst of many large modern buildings and a nightlife scene that is very active. At least THE place to go when in Bangkok, Thailand is the Reclining Buddha. Inside its walls, you notice nothing of the hectic life of modern day Bangkok. A serene place to be and the best place to get a traditional Thai massage.
