When Jesus was discussing the new birth in John 3 he said, "unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (John 3:5 NKJV) A great many deny that the water of this passage is a reference to baptism. How have men perceived this historically?

Into the gas chambers and crematoria, the Jews of the Holocaust emptied their faith and continued to worship the God of their ancestors. In their darkest moments, the Jews of Nazi concentration camps fabricated a “normal” life for their progeny. Despite their impending mortality, they created an ordinary world on the inside to protect children from raging genocide on the outside.

God provides complete and clear evidence of his power, deity and creative powers. When you look at the beauty of a flower, you may ask the question; how did this get here. Or when you experience the love of a pet, it might occur to you that your pet did not simply evolve from some pool of slime, that he/she is part of God's creation.

We worship and have a relationship with one God represented in Three Persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All were involved in creation.

This is a story that is continuously played and we hear about its tragic results all the time. If it were a Broadway play it would be one of the longest running plays ever because this play has lasted for centuries. Yet, knowing how these adulterous acts end, we find ourselves having to teach our children continually about these types of traps.

How is it possible for a baby to come into this world completely helpless, having to have everything done for him/her, completely dependent on parents for food, clothing, security, comfort, love and yes even language to curse their father and mother? Who are the child's first teachers? Who teaches them to speak, to learn hot from cold, to learn sharp from dull, soft from hard. Who teaches them to say thank you, I'm sorry, please or even to call out to mom or dad?

Think about it. As a child of God, living in his kingdom, guided daily by the Holy Spirit and pursuing His will, why would you envy any sinner? As Moses rejected the pleasures of Pharaoh's kingdom, so should Christian children reject the promises of those who are living sinful lives in the world controlled by Satan.

Have you ever gone in to a bookstore and found a book titled; ‘Sin and Grow Rich'. Or perhaps a title like; ‘Lie, Cheat and Steal to Obtain Your Goals'. Following this type of sinful plan does not work. Indeed, even those who teach such things, dress up in hypocrisy and beautifully laid out dreams, end up throwing themselves under the bus of Satan.

A ephah is about one bushel and a hin is about 10 gallons. God is very much involved in our lives and does not want anyone to be cheated. It is far better to give someone more than they purchased and be blessed by God than to give them less than they purchased and be condemned by Him. If you are a baker and someone buys a dozen cookies...give them thirteen or a baker's dozen.
