With the world changing as much as it has, you should expect the job market to change with it. Jobs that were hot even as little as ten years ago are being replaced by others. For instance, newspaper reporters are being replaced by new media. And, according to The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), one of those jobs that are going to go through its share of transition is economists. The demand is going to be far slower for the next ten years than it had been even recently.
