Indian IT sector is developing rapidly, and there are thousands of IT firms offering employment to talented IT professionals.

The western world may be reeling under the hard blows of recession, but Indian economy continues its steady march towards economic progress and development.

The booming Indian economy is raising the standards of living and more and more numbers are added to the middle class (now over 200 million).

Gujarat has always been one of India’s economic bastions. The state is heavily industrialized—a direct response to the lack of arable land, inadequate rainfall and underdeveloped irrigation systems.

The old saying goes, “A Shopkeeper should always wear a smile.” But it is not easy, even for a seasoned shopkeeper, to maintain a smiling countenance while looking at the retreating backs of his former customers walking towards the huge mall right across the road.

For almost a decade, India has functioned as an offshore haven for various western companies staggering under heavy overheads. A large number of Indians have also gone to work as software developers in US and Europe.

Most companies need experts to ensure that their computers function smoothly, and this has made a successful profession in hardware and networking a great career option for many.

In the late 1990s various US companies, a substantial number of them from the IT sector, started outsourcing jobs in India.

Until quite recently, Silicon Valley was the preferred destination for the best IT minds of India. The economic recession that led to severe cutbacks and layoffs in the America did not do too much damage to the growing Indian IT industry.

Jobs opportunities in India do show an upward trend as many firms come forward to recruiting more staffs. The lull that engulfed the economy has been over and economy showing a positive attitude across the world economies.
