Just as there's no science to choosing a major, there are many majors associated with science. The particular science degree that you pursue depends on where your interests are. Some of the choices for science degrees:

Science degrees aren't all about chemicals and laboratories. Some scientists work in test kitchens and in the wild outdoors. Different science careers also provide different salaries, with some paying graduates $100,000-plus per year.

These days trying to keep up with computer technology can be intimidating. Even major corporations need teams of people not only to stay on tope of the latest information technology innovation, but to see if it’s something they can use and how compatible it is to what they already have. The people in charge of this are called Economic Resource Planning (ERP).

There’s many a report saying computer science and information tech are two of hottest industries in our current economy. Like many other industries, it has been the victim of slowdowns and even some layoffs. At the same time, it is well on its way towards recovering. When talking about animation one of the least recognized position outside of the field is the layout and background artists. Inside the profession though, it’s quite another story.

When a studio decided to make an animated show or movie, two of the first people a director hires are a story editor and a storyboard artist. They are two people he truly needs to turn what was previously a pitch into a full blown production.

It’s impossible for some experiment or field study to be done without a technician behind the dials and most often that tech has a degree in science. Whether it’s the latest green tech innovation or even someone taking your blood and an x-ray, the person doing it is one.

“Biologists learn how living things work”, the American Institute of Biological Sciences says of its members, “how they interact with one another, and how they evolve…Their work increases our understanding about the natural world in which we live and helps us address issues…such as environmental depletion, threats to human health, and maintaining viable and abundant food supplies.” 

The computer manufacturing industry was hit by the recent recession. On the plus side, industry projections say it’s going to be one of the first to recover, maybe during the second quarter of 2010. The reason for this is the industry’s ability to reinvent itself through new technology, such as the recent eReaders and iPads.
