As a part of TRCB, travel is part of the game for me. Chicago has always been a city I have visited, never lived. I have told you about my experiences with CityPass in other cities. For Chicago CityPass, adults at $69. USD ($59 Age 3-11) - is the one of the highest price CityPass city in the system for the youth age tickets.

CityPass is available in other cities, and we will look at those shortly. For now, let's focus on the Chicago CityPass.

CityPass is a deal. If you are planning to go to my favorite place, which would be the Museum of Science and Industry with OMNIMAX. Usually its $20. USD per person. If you pay for a Chicago CityPass, you drop $69. USD. So need $49 back.

And you add:
The Sheed Aquarium would be a pricy $32.50 without Chicago City Pass. So if a pretty decent aquarium is your scene, your $17.50 from break-even.

The Field Museum & Underground Adventure has the largest and most complete T. rex ever found. The view of downtown can be awesome. The range of permanent exhibits would be worth the $23 you don't have to pay. Now your ahead with Chicago City Pass.

Next is the Adler Planetarium. They say it is the most advanced planetarium! It's possible to take either a CTA bus or the Red, Green or Orange Line CTA train. The $25. adult price is waived and has 2 planetarium show tickets per Chicago CityPass.

Finally you get to pick between the John Hancock Observatory Fast Pass or the Skydeck Chicago Fast Pass.

The Hancock building is $25 without your Chicago CityPass. The Observatory is 1,000 feet high. Express check in for main check in and security check.

SkyDeck is in inside what used to be known as the Sears Tower. It is now called the Willis Tower. Now only do you keep $30. in your pocket, you get a view of up to 4 states at once in the Tallest Building in the Western Hemisphere. I've done this one several times in my life and its always thrilling!

Once in your hands and used at your first Chicago Attraction, CityPass is valid for 9 days. No matter how you slice it, that covers you for 2 full weekends. All Chicago CityPass tickets are easy to get to by CTA.

Other CityPass cites also appear to be public transportation friendly. I can say for certain that forgoing driving in:

Seattle, San Francisco, Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Houston, and Toronto, Canada is a viable option.

My last tip on CityPass is to look at the few ads in the booklet. I cannot promise any specific ad will suit your fancy. Currently for Chicago its a 15% day pass from Bloomingdale's (however a pricy $100 minimum purchase at this location. And the only extra offered for Chicago CityPass.

As an experienced traveler, I feel a little dumb not knowing about CityPass before. I hope you learn from my mistake and take advantage of this. If you're taking kids, be sure to check for that option in the link I've given you. Enjoy the savings of time and money.

A final thought is CityPass is a Great way to see your own backyard! As I said, no lines, and a great discount! Now where did I put that link so you can squeeze the bucks and still keep your promise to the kids?
