It is never the last time to Spain; visiting Spain for holiday or on business is like an addiction. You are drawn back to this wonderful country with its many fine offerings. From mountains to sea, there are more than enough activities to occupy you from the time you touch down.

Amazing offerings

You may prefer the vibrant city life and shopping which are abundant in Spain or the beautiful beaches in many of its islands. There are numerous historical discoveries or Spanish fiestas which are too many to keep count. You can enjoy the vibrant nightlife, the historical architecture, the sumptuous local cuisine, or the fauna and flora offering in many of Spain's cities and towns.

Island Resort

You will enjoy Spain's second biggest island resort of Playa De Santiago with its beautiful beaches. It boasts of long tracts of fine white sand with plenty of affordable accommodation nearby for your convenience.

Playa De Santiago may be a quaint harbor town with a scattering of restaurants but it offers great sunny weather almost throughout the year. Its quiet atmosphere draws many here to relax and de-stress from the busy city lifestyle at home.

There may not be fantastic hiking trails but the place is comfortable for short walks to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. But there are some villages in its valley which leads to the harbor.

The busiest place here is the seafront road which comprises the business district; it offers several bars and restaurants which overlook the harbor and a large defense wall out at sea. Its beach is full of pebbles.

Laguna de Santiago

Slightly further away, you will find a wide piece of banana plantation and Laguna de Santiago which is a quaint and active village situated at the steep hillside with some rental apartments that come with amazing rooftop views overlooking the valley.

Further up, you will see the spectacular 5-star Tecina resort hotel which overlooks the village and the valley from its vantage cliff top position.

There are many beaches close by although most of them are pebble beaches. You can hike to any of these beaches as it takes only 30 minutes from one to the other on the dirt road.

There is also a nudist beach near by which is quite popular as there are some caves offering some privacy to the nudist and hippie community.

Island Icon

The island is also famous for its living icon in the sole surviving dragon tree which can be found near Alajeró. You can get to Playa de Santiago via San Sebastián by bus.
