We expect that this new Disney Hollywood Studio ride named American Idol to be a great experience for everyone when it debuts. This ride is not currently open yet.
What Disney Says:
"The American Idol Experience Three Ways to Experience the Dream Watch The excitement unfolds before your eyes. This exhilarating new attraction will feature the glitz and glamour of the hit television series' stunning set, and will give you an opportunity to experience the thrill as if really at the show! Vote
Decide who has what it takes. Determine the destiny of the singers onstage by voting as a member of the attraction audience on your interactive keypad at your seat. See how far your favorite singer can go!
Perform
A star could be born - who just might be you! The challenge of auditioning. The rush of being onstage. The American Idol Experience provides select Guests with an opportunity to see if they have what it takes to audition and sing onstage!
And if the audience votes you the best singer of the day at The American Idol Experience finale show, you will receive a Dream Ticket (see eligibility restrictions below). If you are eligible to use the Dream Ticket, you will have an opportunity to make a reservation to sing in front of an American Idol* representative at an actual regional audition of the American Idol TV show, where it's your moment to shine!
It's more than a dream, it's an experience!
Please see the following for further details and other important
information:
The Dream Ticket can only be used by individuals who comply with all American Idol TV program rules and conditions in effect at the time of the TV program audition, such as age (currently only ages 16-28), residency (currently only U.S. citizens or legal permanent U.S. residents eligible to work full-time in U.S.) and other requirements. Guests who do not meet these requirements are eligible to audition and sing onstage, but cannot use the Dream Ticket.
Subject to availability, Guests inside Disney's Hollywood StudiosTM may audition for the opportunity to be selected as a singer in one of The American Idol Experience preliminary shows that day. Auditions will be judged based on singing talent and ability to perform in front a live audience. Only a few singers will be chosen for each show and selections will likely be made early in the day.
Guests who audition will have a brief initial screening audition (singing solo without live or recorded instruments) in front of a Disney representative who will determine whether the Guest can proceed to a second audition. Guests who are invited to a second audition will sing solo to a pre-recorded instrumental track (from a song selected by the singer from a list provided by Disney) in front of another Disney representative who will determine whether the Guest will be given the opportunity to sing onstage that day in one of The American Idol Experience shows. Guests must be 14 or older, sign required documentation and otherwise comply with the Guidelines to audition and sing onstage at the attraction (age requirements to audition and sing onstage do not match those required to use the Dream Ticket).
The singer voted best by the audience of each of The American Idol Experience preliminary shows will be given the opportunity to sing live onstage in The American Idol Experience finale show that night. The singer voted best by the audience at each finale show will receive a Dream Ticket which allows an eligible holder (see eligibility requirements above) to make a reservation to participate in one audition in the initial public round of auditions for the American Idol TV program.
If the recipient is not eligible to use the Dream Ticket, it may be transferred once to an eligible person, but may not be sold or promoted in any way. The Dream Ticket does not include travel, meals, accommodations or any other expenses. Other than the reserved time, Dream Ticket holders will audition for the American Idol TV program on the same basis as everyone else and will not receive preferential treatment. There is no guarantee that Dream Ticket holders will be seen by the TV judges or appear on the American Idol TV program.
Additional details concerning the audition process and other aspects of the attraction experience will be described in Guidelines which will be available later this year at disneyworld.com/idol and may change from time to time.
