Disney Hollywood Studios: Backlot Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure
In this 11,000 square foot interactive backyard playground you will find oversize props from the hit movie "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." Guests are free to stroll through this area watching the kids compare their size with all the Hollywood props.
You will find a map at the only entrance / exit to this larger-than-life playground so the kids cannot escape and get lost in the park. There is also a Disney Cast Member stationed at the entrance / exit to ensure that each kid leaving the playground is accompanied by a parent.
Ride Experience:
The kids can scamper through the caverns of an ant hill; climb on the back of an ant; climb the web ropes inside a spider's maze; slide down inside huge Kodak film strips, flower petals or tree stumps; scamper over a large fly; crawl through and around a can of Play-Do; and sit under an oversized mushroom.
One of the best features of this attraction is the sniffing dog's nose! But be warned - the nose also snorts water! Over head is a 52-foot leaking super soaker garden hose that keeps the area wet and cool.
What Disney Says:
"No need to be zapped by Professor Szalinski's Electromagnetic Shrinking machine to get a taste of what fun life can be from a bug's perspective! Climb, crawl and explore in this larger-than-life interactive playground where anthills are mountains, LEGO® bricks are hiding places and blades of grass tower like trees."
