Disney's Contemporary Resort traditional was built in 1971 and Disney has kept the hotel modernized over the year with regular accommodation updates. Views from your room balcony on the west side are of the Magic Kingdom and the Bay Lake from the east.

The 15 story Contemporary Resort features 1013 rooms typically 394 sq ft, 25 suites, three restaurants, character dining (Chef Mickeys), two swimming pools, a Tennis center, volleyball courts, hair salon, health club, convention center, fishing, water sports, personal watercraft and boat rentals. From the hotel transportation is provided to Magic Kingdom and Epcot by the Monorail which passes through the center of the resort and by boat to MAGIC KINGDOM. The Disney Magic transportation busses travel on the half hour to and from Animal Kingdom and Disney Hollywood Studios.

One of the best charter dining experiences is located here. Chef Mickey and his pals offer a large buffet-style feast and visit your table for autographs and pictures. Be ready to drop your fork and energetically wave your napkin. Go ahead ask why? Why should I wave my napkin energetically? Make your reservations and find out as this is a quality character location and a fantastic buffet

Quote: I remember renting rooms in 1971 for $25 per night on one of my first visits to Disney.
