Opened in November 1990 with a New England Yacht Club theme, this resort features the elegance of gleaming hardwood floors, brass accents, and deep colors in the main lobby that flow from the first floor to the second floor and on into each room.
The Yacht Club offers an amazing three-acre pool called Stormalong Bay which is actually a miniature water park. Stormalong Bay, with its connecting bridges, spa tubs, waterfalls, whirlpools, swift currents, and a water slide that dumps you into the genuine white sandy bottom, is shared with Disney's Beach Club, which is certainly large enough for both Resorts to enjoy!
For breakfast and lunch visit The Captain's Grille, and for poolside fast-food American cuisine there's Hurricane Hannah's. Enjoy evening dining at the traditional American Yachtsman Steakhouse. The Crew Cup Lounge offers a wide selection of beer and great mixed drinks.
Since the Yacht Club is located between Epcot® and Disney's Hollywood Studios, you have a choice of walking or taking a short boat ride to both theme parks. We suggest that you take the walkway to Epcot and the short boat ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The walkway to Epcot takes about 5-10 minutes, while the one- mile hike to Hollywood Studios takes about 20 minutes. The boat transportation to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios departs about every 20 minutes and is a pleasant scenic canal ride. The large boats traveling between Epcot and Hollywood Studios stop at the Yacht & Beach Club and the Swan and Dolphin resorts, picking up guests along the way. Disney bus transportation is available for guests going to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney and the water parks.
