The Termas de Chillan ski resort is located nearby the town of Chillan and, more importantly, near its namesake volcano. The resort is open all year and offers a host of activities in the summer months, but it is primarily known for its skiing. Many of the trails allow you to explore the terrain on the way down the volcano and most of them are in the mid-range of difficulty. The resort is well-established, though another resort, named Nevados de Chillan, is taking over the ski lift concession that was originally the purview of the Termas de Chillan ski resort.

Termas de Chillan, Chile is located in the south of the nation. This area tends to get a bit more snowfall than other ski areas located in more northerly latitudes: Remember that it's in the southern hemisphere, if you're coming from the north, and that south means colder. The Termas de Chillan ski slopes include quite a few that allow you to ski through areas covered in trees. This offers a different landscape than that that typifies those at the more northern resorts, as well, and may appeal to those who prefer to ski in such environments.

There's quite a bit to do at this resort. You can take part in dog sledding, take a lesson from the experts at the resort or simply enjoy the facilities at the hotels themselves. There are two hotels at the Termas de Chillan, Chile resort and they both offer luxurious accommodations. There are a host of amenities, as well, including luxuries such as massages. There are thermal springs in the area and, if you give your body a good workout on the slopes during the day, you may enjoy unwinding in these soothing waters to get ready for the next run.

Some of the other diversions at the Termas de Chillan ski resort include plenty of restaurants and bars. A town nearby the resort, called Las Trancas, offers some nightlife options for those spending their vacations at the resort. One of the most exciting Termas de Chillan ski resort offerings is access to the longest ski run on the continent. There are plenty of challenging areas to ski off piste, but most skiers should find the level of the trails to be challenging enough to keep them occupied for many days, and the resort's other facilities entertaining at night!
