Disney World Magic Kingdom Theme Park has many Attractions for visitors including ride Monorail.  Walt Disney Wold Monorail runs between Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

Magic Kingdom Ride Monorail Description:

It's your express/gateway to the MAGIC KINGDOM! There are four separate monorail beams. These beams include: the Express monorail, the Resort monorail, the Epcot monorail, and the service beam. The Express monorail is the fastest way to get from the Transportation and Ticket Center (also known as Magic KingdomParking Lot) to MAGIC KINGDOM. The Resort monorail services the Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Transportation and Ticket Center, and the Magic Kingdomentrance. The Epcot monorail is your gateway to Epcot from the Transportation and Ticket Center or from Epcot to the Transportation and Ticket Center. The service beam is used for breakdowns to "tow" monorail trains to the service building located behind the Magic KingdomPark. No guests are permitted on a monorail when it's on the service beam. The ride can take up to 7-10 minutes between stops, depending on any backups ahead of your monorail.

Ride Facts:

Opened: 1971       Height Requirements: None
FASTPASS: None   Hidden Mickeys: Yes
Interacts with Pal Mickey and Pal Donald Duck: Yes
Walk time: about 5 to 7 minutes between stations

Stops: Main Street, U.S.A. (Main Entrance), Frontierland, and Mickey's Toontown Fair

Ride Experience:
"It's just like you're soarin' in the air!" Although able to actually reach speeds of up to 70+ MPH, the monorail's maximum ride speed at Disney will be 45 MPH due to safety restrictions. You have many cars to choose from as you rocket around the park.

The monorails that circle the Seven Seas Lagoon (Magic KingdomPark) usually arrive in the station every one to two minutes. The Epcot monorail usually runs every five to eight minutes. There is no need to arrive at a certain time, as they run two hours prior to park opening and two hours after park closing. There's no FASTPASS® available because it's just a short ride and there's never a wait!
During The Year of a Million Dreams, however, the monorail cars carry the "Year of a Million Dreams" slogan over a paint splatter, rather than the usual color strip. This can be found at the back left or front right of each monorail!

What Disney Says:
"There are two monorail tracks at Walt Disney World®. The current monorail circles Walt Disney World® with stops at the main entrance and transfer station, along with stops at three resorts: the Contemporary, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian. The second monorail circles Epcot, with stops at the main gate and the transfer station to MAGIC KINGDOM."

Notes, Tips and/or Facts:
Walt Disney World® has operated its monorail system in continuously operation since 1971. In 1982, Disney expanded the monorail system by adding a four-mile track, which travels from the Magic Kingdom Park to Epcot's main entrance.

Currently Walt Disney World® operates a fleet of 12 Mark VI monorails. The new and improved 1991 Mark VI train has a higher passenger capacity, improved air conditioning, a new door system and more up-to-date safety features. Each Mark VI train rides on rubber tires and consists of six cars with an overall length of 204 feet with a capacity of 365 passengers.

Disney's double beam track consists of 26 inch wide, pre-cast concrete supported by concrete columns which are approximately 50 feet apart. The monorail train is powered by a 600 volt DC propulsion system which includes eight DC motors rated at 112 HP that receive power from each side of the beam.

The current double beam track that circles the Seven Seas Lagoon in front of the Magic Kingdom passes through the Contemporary hotel, the Polynesian hotel, and the new Grand Floridian with stops at Epcot transfer station and the Magic Kingdom entrance. On an average day the 13.6-mile monorail system will carry over 160,000 guests around the Magic Kingdom and Epcot parks. All ABOARD!

Author's Comments:
I remember riding in the monorail cockpit with the pilot. This is my Best Ride Ever. You may have to wait one or two trains, but ask the attendant to set you up with the pilot for a cockpit ride! I will never forget this experience, and I bet you won't either!
