Imagine yourself back in the days of the Old West. Frontierland Shootin' Arcade is an old western theme with all kinds of animatronics to shoot at with an old style rifle. Now, the gun is not real and it does not shoot real bullets, but you do have to pay to play in order for things to work. Aim at anything.

Each of the 97 targets will react in some way when your laser beam hits its target. The tombstones may rise, spin, sink, or change epitaphs. A ghost rider gallops across the sky when the cloud is hit, with a bulls eye hit on the gravedigger's shovel, a skull pops out of its grave. The arcade has realistic screaming ricochet's and howling coyotes provided by a quality sound system.

Ride Experience:
Your gun positions overlook Boot hill, complete with cemetery, jail, hotel, bank, etc. The very real-looking hunting rifles are actually genuine .54-calibur Hawkins buffalo rifles, which have been refitted to shoot infra-red beams of light rather than bullets. I really didn't get a chance to play this time. I know it's still the same as it was many years ago. From what I can remember it was fun to try my shooting skills against the other shooters in our party.

What Disney Says:
"Take up your position on Boot Hill and become the greatest sharp-shooter on the whole frontier. Try your marksmanship on a whole passel of pop-up, moving and stationary targets. Ready! Aim! Fire!"

Author's Comments:
If you're pressed for time, don't stop here. If you're not and you want to see everything, then okay, hey shoot away. I really think kids and maybe some teens might get a kick out of this attraction if they're interested in marksmanship.
