Disney World Magic Kingdom Attractions Main Street Vehicles

Disney World Magic Kingdom Theme Park has many Attractions for visitors including Main Street Vehicles. Board an older version vehicle and ride along Main Street U.S.A.

Ride Description:
Board an older version vehicle and ride along Main Street U.S.A.! These turn-of-the-century motorized vehicles are fitted with a special muffler that makes the unique Putt-Putt sound.
Belgian or Percheron horses pull the trolleys and horseless carriages up and down Main Street. To keep the street from damage the huge horses are shod with special plastic shoes.
As a side note; these strong Belgian or Percheron breed one-ton horses were used in the old days to pull plows on European farms.
To view these horses at rest you can stroll by the Main Street Car Barn and take a look inside. If you're staying at Fort Wilderness, find out where they are being kept. If you happen to be around the Main Street Fire House in the afternoon you may see the horses being sprayed with water to be kept cool in the hot Florida sun.

Ride Experience:
It was a pleasure to ride in a unique vintage vehicle specially designed for Disney that goes from the WDW main entrance of Magic Kingdomto the circle in front of the Castle. When you feel like you cannot walk another, step catch a Main Street Vehicle at the Castle back to the Entrance of MAGIC KINGDOM.
Enjoy a slow Ride in a Vintage fire engine, horseless carriage, or a horse drawn trolley, my personal favorite. Standing in line I heard several times, "Look Daddy, A Horsey." Just makes you all smiles inside.
